Youtube Comments a focus of McCain Campaign? If so, we need to fight back!

and noticed post after post after post of RIDICULOUS mccain for pres propaganda, filth, and lies.

Call me conspiracy theorist but I am convinced they have a team of people posting spam, and panic-inciting garbage 24x7. You should see it, EVERY obama video on youtube, the moment it goes up, has cookie cutter cut'n'paste nonsense from users with new usernames like "McCainPalin4Change" and "mccain4pres".

Look I think we need to get on those videos and drown them out like they're drowning out the message of every vid with obama in it.

2. i know it's a staple of youtube but it's like, a seemingly concerted and centralized effort.

3. It's not just YouTube... read the comments on stories and major blogs.

It's been going on for as long as I've been active online it's just gotten increasingly worse and downright stupid lately. FWIW some are bots, are paid to do this and some do it as volunteers that get their marching orders from neo-CON idiots like Flush.

IME the best way to fight propaganda is to fight lies with truth & spin with facts and always be ready to back up what you say with links to reliable sources.

4. Thanks much on the welcome. The Increased stupidity prompted me to

ask you folks, who seem to do the most emailing and responding etc. (And yes I see all the comments on the news websites and all also.)

I'm new to DU so I'm not sure how much of this (which we all see everyday) is actionable. Don't we have any bots of our own to spread the truth and facts as much as they spread their manure?

I've been trying to reply to as much as I can, including some raging emails back and forth with my father-in-law. I give perfectly coherent, cited arguments too. Doesn't seem to be making a dent in the propaganda "i'll believe the most sensational shit i hear" death grip.

5. Do as much you can, as you can.. that's is all any of us can do. Sadly...

there are some Americans who really are that stupid and/or that naive. They live in a world that's not based on reality but rather what the 'CONs like Rove, Rush, etc spoon feed them. Short of a bolt of lightening coming down from the Divine and clearing their heads, IME there's very little you can do to reach people like this except to know FACTS with sources keep in mind that you can't reach them all so sometimes it's not worth the stress levels to bother... or to use an old quote (in keeping with the current "pig" theme here ;))"Never teach a pig to sing, it wastes your time and annoys the pig." :)
