I just watched the BBC clip of Gibson's "interview" with the Governor. After educating her on what the Bush Doctrine™ is, she gave the response that with "legitimate and enough" intelligence, we should use preemptively strike other countries that intend to do us harm.
Gibson should have followed up with, "Governor, what is 'legitimate and enough' intelligence?" Then keep hammering her on this statement! Ask her what she considers to be "legitimate and enough" intelligence. Remind her that Bush thought he had "legitimate and enough" intelligence to wage war on Iraq, but he now admits he got the intelligence wrong. Ask her if we should ever use the Bush Doctrine™ if there is a possibility we will do so after getting the intelligence wrong. Ask her how she would avoid the same mistakes that Bush made.
:wtf:, Chuck. You made her look like someone applying to an entry-level management position!
If I were interviewing her, I'd then follow up with this question: "Isn't the Bush Doctrine™ really a cover for American Corporations to raid the natural resources of other countries? Isn't that what this Iraq War is all about?
