Sarah Palin Naked [brilliant HuffPo commentary]

She said "nucular." Twice.

I realized three things tonight. For one, if you are a McCain/Palin/Bush voter, you and I do not have a difference of opinion. We have a difference in brain power. Two, she really is as ignorant as I feared. And, three, she really is kinda hot. Basically, I want to have sex with her on my Barack Obama sheets while my wife reads aloud from the Constitution. (My wife is cool with this if I promise to "first wipe off Palin's tranny makeup." I married well.)

Now, I want to be clear and speak directly to those of you who LOVED that Palin interview. You're an idiot. I mean that. This is not one of those cases where we're going to agree to disagree. This isn't one of those situations where we debate it passionately and then walk away thinking that the other guy is wrong but argued well. I'm not going to think of you as a thoughtful but misguided person with different ideas who still really cares about the country and the world. No, sorry, not this time. This time, if you watched those interview excerpts and weren't scared out of your freakin' mind, then you're mentally ill, mentally disabled, or mentally disturbed. What you are NOT is responsible, informed, curious, thoughtful, mature, educated, empathetic, or remotely serious. I mean it.

But I like to think that anyone can change.

Stop voting for people you want to have a beer with. Stop voting for folksy. Stop voting for people who remind you of your neighbor. Stop voting for the ideologically intransigent, the staggeringly ignorant, and the blazingly incompetent.

Vote for someone smarter than you. Vote for someone who inspires you. Vote for someone who has not only traveled the world but who has also shown a deep understanding and compassion for it. The stakes are real and they're terrifyingly high. This election matters. It matters. It really matters. Let me say that one more time. This. Really. Matters.

4. the funniest thing about that next door neighbor
or the beer in a bar..... i used to go out drinkin when i was younger. before kids. and i hung out with people there. fun to hang out with. great to have a beer with. would I EVER want them to be president?? umm... hell no. and most people don't even like their neighbors. lol. they like their neighbors but they don't LIKE their neighbors, and wouldn't want them as president either.

i think palin has some sort of buffer here, because she is running as vp and not president. people are not seeing her as president. what harm could she do as vp, right? People need to think of her as holding her finger on that button. they need to see that this woman could be the president. it's not ageism to discuss the health of a 72 year old man who has had bouts with a severe skin cancer. this is a legitimate concern. and that this woman who apparently has had no thirst for knowldege beyond her own little world could run this country should scare everyone with any brain cells in their head!! do these people picture her facing down putin? or iran?

13. No NO No a thousand times NO!!!
Who do you think you are speaking to? "This election really matters". Like that will get the attention of the gullibles.

You have to speak a language the gullibles understand.

1 McCain is going to double gas prices like Bush did.
2 McCain is considering outlawing pickup trucks.
3 Taxes are going up on single wides, double wides and all other wides.
4 God hates adulterers like McCain
5 McCain wants to outlaw private gun ownership

Seriously, we need 6 to 10 talking points that the gullibles can understand and then drive them home.

Personally, I think there are so many stupid people in this country, people that don't go deeper than the Faux Noise talking points, that things are going to get a hell of a lot worse before they get better if they ever do (in my life time).

45. That is a big one. My neighbor blew his stack when I told him that
earlier this week. He didn't believe me. I told him to Google it. Google it all. Find out what your guy is really all about. He told me yesterday he's voting for Bob Barr.

He told me he can't vote for a Democrat. I told him I hoped he'd let go his party biases and look toward what would be best for our country. I said I bet that what you know about the Democrats are what you learned from the Republicans, and Fox News. I then asked him to check things out on his own.

Anyway, I'm glad you brought this up. The idea of heath care be considered taxable income really angered my neighbor, and I think it would others as well.

17. it is not ageism, because it is a known fact that military men do not live as
long as they should have because of their military experience. And McCain was a prisoner of war for over 5 years. That will have consequences on his health and mental health which is already in question. i read that he has PTSD.. Both my fathers died young because of their service, not during. Neither one lived long enough to collect social security.

18. It seems that more and more people
are basically thinking the same thing, which is, "why is this election even a discussion?"

You're either going to vote smart or vote stupid. There's nothing to discuss.

Maybe I'm just tired this evening or maybe that's part of the key, to stop discussing this election with people as if, as frigging if, there was anything, relatively debatable, sensible or logical in the give and take. Like arguing with a fool gives the fool credit for sense.

The stupid don't realize they are stupid or that they are voting for the stupid. Pretty stupid, huh? Does the election matter? Of course. Does it matter a lot? Of course. And why? Because if we don't change direction the world is going to either change it for us or put up one big fat roadblock. They have made that clear. The world can no longer afford to let a country like ours, with so many nukes, continue to let the stupid run things. So one way or the other, change is coming.

Repubs were depressed because they know, at least subconsciously, that he's just too old. That's why their campaign lagged. Now she's come along and with her faux motherliness, they figure she'll wipe the drool from his chin, and keep his temper tantrums under control with a "there, there." She doesn't really have to know anything about foreign policy, or make sense in any way about anything else. Hot? :puke:

....my autistic son is a registered voter. He has 25-resident buddy's in a Detroit foster home who have not voted before because they can't drive. However, they are all higher functioning. They all live in a tough part of Detroit.

To make a long story short, I am going into communities like this and into nursing homes to get people to vote. I especially want to hit the hit Democratic area's ...especially of the disadvantaged who we forget. They are smarter than many think they are. I have never done anything like this in my life. It's like my back is against the wall.

We cannot afford to have Obama lose this election. I am a former Republican turned Democrat in this ravaged area of Detroit and we need change here....desparate change. I was a industrial engineer for the auto industry. I have no insurance. I've been with no work or under-employed for the last seven years.

37. Some people have rather liberal sex lives - let's stay out of their bedroom
If the wife is okay with whatever, well, whatever is alright for them.

Remember, we're the ones who want to stay out of personal lives and out of the bedroom.

In other words, it's between the poster and his wife. All women don't think alike and who's to say what is 'right' and what is 'wrong' when it comes to things like this?

Have a drink.

53. May be the party that stays out of the bedroom BUT when Americans put their bedroom behavior in our
face, we act just like anyone else.

What the hell do you mean you would do x, y, or the other thing...good GOD!

I think you need to read George Latoff (I think that I have the name right) on the meaning of words and the values they trigger.

The article set off all kinds of warning bells.

1. As a woman, why do I want to think of a man subjecting any woman wife/girlfriend to each other's presence to satisfy the husband/boyfriends's feeling for who is HOT!

2. As a citizen, beat her on the facts...don't tell me her sole function is as a sex toy. She might make me sick but my belief is God has a plan for everyone including women that does not revolve her reproductive organs.

3. As a former girlfriend and a future wife, I'll be damned if I even get asked a question like that. I also don't want women who are living under that a 'mutual assent' decision like that to be embarrassed by me knowing their husband/boyfriend shops around.

38. Um, don't assume she's being belittled. According to
the sex lady on late night cable TV (can't think of her name), lots of couples enjoy this type of consensual sex.

I've seen parts of three episodes and that woman is just BLUNT about answering caller's sex questions. If a teen is getting abstinence-only sex education, perhaps listening to her would educate the teen so she doesn't get pregnant. I'm just saying....

35. People Are Just Stubborn And They Don't Get It
A coworker and I were talking about the interview this morning. This guy, a staunch repug is relatively intelligent, but like you said it is a matter of brain power and it's futile to think that you can really have a debate on such matters with people like this. We have worked together for years and have had many discussions about politics and he never ceases to amaze me with his lack of reasoning power. Like I said, he is fairly intelligent, but. Anyway, I mention that the media had basically panned her interview.....wait here it comes.....oh the media is just out to get her, he says.... and I say, ok right. Don't ask why, maybe it's because we do work together often, I pressed him about the interview and he relented and finally says, yeah but that really doesn't matter, I am still voting for her. See, the point is, he knows that his "party" doesn't have the best candidates and that the Dems have so much more to offer (in almost every election) that would actually improve the lives of Americans, including him, he can't bring himself to vote anything but repug. Unreal, but then I am talking about a man that thinks ann coulter writes good newsworthy articles and that the lies and nasty attacks on Obama are funny. I'm telling you there really is a cerebral disconnect with people like this. Go figure.

39. Sheesh, it's not like she went to Ivy League schools.
Remember it took her six years and to many schools to keep track of before she got her journalism degree finally from Idaho State University. That's a Big Sky Conference school you know. Sarah Barracuda will be the first Big Sky conference graduate to become VP.

She has come a long way. Many thought she'd never graduate from that community college actually. But after four long and tortuous years she got her two year degree from the community college. After that she was on the fast track to a four year degree culminating in that awesome graduation from her fifth college Idaho State, where she attended the most times of any school she took classes at.
The first time she dropped out of ISU didn't deter her from trying a second time. For that kind of moxie we all can admire!

It's amazing to think that a small town gal from nowhere Alaska can strive academically for six years and achieve a four year degree from Idaho State University. ISU ranks just below Southern Utah University and just above New Mexico Highlands University in the bottom third of all Universities on the Simpson academic scale. Way to go Sarah!! You kick butt girl!!

Not that it matters, my 12 year old daughter knows all about the Bush doctrine. She reads the paper every day and keeps current on foreign affairs.

Mr. Seitzman:

First things first, I do not like Sarah Palin for a whole host of reasons, mostly for her scary worldview and her apparent hostility and ham-handedness toward those she "manages."

As to your most recent assertions, you may not have commented on Hillary's gender, but by including the lines about having sex with Sarah, while your wife watched, you did bring gender into it.

54. My mother said the same thing when she saw McCain and this woman standing next to her
She said I've worked next and near women like this all my life who move ahead because of their willingness to be accommodating. They don't have to know anything. They just need to be pleasing.

Men will promote them anyway.

My 15 years out of h.s. have shown women getting used and tossed aside. But she has been working longer.

I don't see how McCain thought this type of woman was going to satisfy the Hillary voters. They are different sorts of women.
