Then here's a great thing to counter it. Send them a rebuttal with a link to www.barackobama.com or www.factcheck.org. or www.snopes.com

I did this and it shut the sender down quick. In fact, send "reply all" ...somebody might see the light!":D

5. I sent the FactCheck link to respond to any I get too! I used to send

Snopes, but I had a number of Pubs say that they didn't trust Snopes because it was a LW org. They like FactCheck because Cheney quotes it. I always read the assessment before I sent it out, but in most cases, they're inline with Snopes.

11. Maybe, but as I said, I always double check the Factcheck asessment

before I send it. So far, the only iffy things I've found were several analyses that were not necessairly wrong but incomplete, but were out of context and incomplete. Obviously, I would NEVER send a Pub for a response that was not factual!

8. If it's one of Obama's policies they are questioning, I double check at his website

and then send it through factcheck cause if they see it's coming from Obama's website, then they try to debunk it. It's fruitless.

I sent either a link to Snopes or factcheck where the stupid email was bebunked. It worked. I haven't gotten an anti-Obama email in about 3 weeks. Apparently, it was embarrassing for the senders. haha

I also like to add a comment about how the sender should save themselves future emabarrassment by taking 2 minutes to check Factcheck.org or snopes before circulating such garbage.

and sending the Snopes debunking link to the person who sent the crap about Obama and admonished them to check Snopes themselves next time before they pass that stuff on.
Every one that gets hit with the truth is one more wised up person.
