This election has the potential of being the most surreal in history...
Given his age and history, McCain could be or become physically unfit to hold the office of President of the United States.

And it is possible that the 'dirt' on Palin will be so disarming once she talks to the Press (and the MSM reveals what they have found) that she will find it necessary to withdraw from the race.

How surreal would it be in the last 60 days before the Presidential Election both candidates on the G.O.P. Slate for President were disqualified or withdrew from the race?

Can you imagine the scramble among the greediest, most ambitious, cutthroat G.O.P. would-be Presidential Candidates to fill that void?

2. You beat me to it--I was going to say many of us have been inured to
much of the surrealism that's around these days.

6. There's a better than even chance he wouldn't live through his first term. In fact,
fundamentalist nut-jobs are already praying for his death.

There's nothing on earth that would make Sarah Palin withdraw. That would require a sense of humility and self-awareness that she doesn't possess. This woman makes Dick Cheney look humble, for chrissake. Watch her speak...have you ever seen anyone so arrogant and full of him (or her-)self? They practically have to come out and mop up a puddle of smug after she leaves.

7. It's made surreal by the M$M focusing on "fluff" and "smear" issues because they BELIEVE
that "the peasant classes" are both F**king Stupid and easily led by the Corporate Media.

I loathe the M$M. :grr: :(

8. Most surreal coincidence, though, was Ronnie's Reelection in the very year 1984.
And it was Year of the Rat, too.
