Andrew Sullivan: McCain Repeatedly Chooses "Evil" Over "Good"
"On core moral issues, where this man knew what the right thing was, and had to pick between good and evil, he chose evil. When he knew that George W. Bush's war in Iraq was a fiasco and catastrophe, and before Donald Rumsfeld quit, McCain endorsed George W. Bush against his fellow Vietnam vet, John Kerry in 2004. By that decision, McCain lost any credibility that he can ever put country first. He put party first and his own career first ahead of what he knew was best for the country.

"And when the Senate and House voted overwhelmingly to condemn and end the torture regime of Bush and Cheney in 2006, McCain again had a clear choice between good and evil, and chose evil."

Read the rest. And he doesn't even mention the number one reason he should not be President. He is emotionally volatile, can't control his temper, and personalizes all arguments. My guess is that half the Republicans in the Senate (who know him better than the Democrats do) will vote against him because they think he's a loose cannon. The rest will vote for him so they can get him out of the Senate.

1. As Sullivan himself kept doing. And kept doing.
I don't trust Sully's malleability on what constitutes "evil."

4. Right, but if the pot calls the kettle black.. the truth is both still are.
When people with no conscience begin to question putting McInsane in the White House it's a sign we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg of evil.

Or to phrase it another way, the rats always abandon ship when there is a fire in the hold.

8. He seems to have come back from the dark side. Time will tell, for sure.

3. Two very powerful examples of John Sidney McCain III's moral values,
or immoral ones, I daresay.

Endorsed those whose reckless war strategies he detested, not his fellow Vietnam Veteran who wanted to take the nation quickly toward energy independence to reduce the need for war.

And yes, it was curious not to see JSM III leading the charge in condemnation of the Bush-Cheney gang's trampling upon the Geneva Conventions. He, as well as anyone knows the two basic truths about torture--
(1) it elicits bad information and (2) banning the practice protects our troops too. Yet he did not stridently oppose the administration's moves. Quite dishonorable conduct on his part. I was waiting and wondering.

5. And in 1992 blocked all attempts to bring POWs home from Vietnam to protect his political hide.
Not just leaving other soldiers behind but blocking their return.

Conduct unbecoming a decent human being much less an officer of the Navy.

McCain is no HERO. He is a ZERO.

7. That could be a useful 527 ad. Have a few veterans talk about it.
Then reasonable people can discuss the ad. Was that true? What happened?
There are several votes of McCain's that just don't make sense, coming from a veteran... and discuss more of them.

9. I think McCain's campaign shows his true character is not like his public persona....

I find it very unsettling that his campaign is putting out such negative personal attacks and then he comes out and says "WHAT I didn't do nothing." Very kinda spooky. I think the real McCain would freak us out,
