Don't normally get the "opportunity" because of work. Happened to be in the car at an unusual hour this afternoon, though, and happened to catch Hannity and Beck on at the same time (different stations). I don't think most DUers realize the level of lies and hatred they are whipping up out there, using the EXACT SAME TALKING POINTS. The "lipstick" thing over and over again, of course, and Obama's "judgment" in hanging around his "radical friends" - except they have gone past "judgment" to accusing him of being outright anti-American, a danger to the nation, and what are their listeners going to do about it? Vote McCain, of course, but that hardly seems enough, given their frenzy - and Obama's "hatred for America".

Don't even remember it this bad in 2004, and it was bad then - but overt threats were more veiled. I can't adequately capture what they are trying to get their hard-core 20 percenters to do, but it ain't all political. Sorry I listened, but in a way glad, too - the more threatening they become, the more they marginalize their audience. I hope.

At any rate, don't worry much about going too far here. The nastiest post here is far more reasoned than any sentence by Hannity and Beck I heard today.

5. I often listened to Sean Hannity mostly due to lack of choice and also to keep a finger on the pulse

He is BORING. He is the most boring person on the radio. He is actually the most boring person I have ever heard over a long haul.He has been making the same tired points for almost 6 months now. Rev Wright, Ayers, we have great healthcare, Michelle Obamaetc.etc.etc. He is completely devoid of any insight or intellectual honesty. He is 100% shill. I would respect him more if his product was nonni juice.

He reminds me of the initial stages of Alzheimer's where it's only short term memory or the same stories repeated over and over and over and over and over.

Not to mention the "You're a Great American, Sean" fealty pledge all his callers must make.

I think it's more a matter of the more they realize that their days are over, the more hysterical they get. The more they declare liberals to be immoral, evil, and anti-america. They're no longer saying things like "we have to beat the democrats in this election" - they're often saying things more like "we have to eliminate the evil liberal scourge that has infected this great country".

It seems to me that they're kinda not talking in terms of elections anymore.
