Candace Miller went on the floor today and demanded that Obama apologize to the women of this country for "calling Palin a pig"

She said NOTHING of the fact that McCain used the SAME phrase when speaking of Hillary back in May.

I just called her to DEMAND she go back on the floor and DEMAND for Mcain to apologize to.

I called her, and feel much better now. I told the person who answered that I was livid about this and that I was going to be talking to a whole lot of women about this abuse of my womenhood in order for Republicans to win an election. I told her my church was 5,000 strong, and they were going to hear about this. I told him that I resented being exploided, after having worked so hard for equality. That I was ashamed of the Republican party for taking us down this road, and I was specifically angered because of how advances that I had worked so hard for were being belittled and used and that the Republican Party was in fact hurting my daughters!

They need more phone calls from women. :mad:

When faced with defenseless cowering wolves, she shoots them from a helicopter. When faced with tenacious democrats, Sarah Palin cowers and lets others defend her. How could McCain pick such a coward, who is always delegating the JOB OF DEFENSE to others.

She actually said, in a wrongful-firing lawsuit, which was filed by a tall, muscular male former employee of her administration, that she was intimidated by the male employee!!!

need to hear from women all over. I also called Boswell's office here and heard some hemming and hawing about limitations about what congress people can say vis a vis campaigns. I told the young lady that it would be wonderful if I could hear our congress person spend some time on the floor in the morning during those two-minute speeches (can't remember what they are called) addressing his support for the women of my state and the nation as a Democrat and I will be listening for it.

13. I just called and the girl who answered the phone told me I should call my local congressperson and

have them address my concerns. (I was polite and this youngster was extremely rude) I said that my local congressperson didn't just make an outrageous request of Senator Obama and that I'd appreciate it if she would give Candace the message. She said "We appreciate your call" and hung up.

Somehow, I don't believe they appreciated my call at all :D

When I finished, he informed me they have received many calls concerning her remark and wondered if I was calling in response to an internet push or if I had heard it on C-Span this morning. I told him I was a regular C-Span viewer. He thanked me for my call, said he would get the message to her, and welcomed such dialog because "democracy is a two-way street."

while she 'percieved' that the "Lipstick on a pig" was a remark about gov. Palin, I didn't see how it could be seen that way- I also said that if she was going to start a conversation on the way women are refered to, she needed to address McCain laughing at the "how do we beat the bitch" remark, at his use of the word 'cunt' and at Palin's OWN comparison of "hockey moms" to "pit-bulls with lipstick"- Her own comment was a sexist, stupid joke, and demeaning to mothers who devote a lot of time and effort to their kids hockey aspirations.
