Face it, people, it's over.
Look at these polls from TPM's Election Central

Sep 10 Rasmussen
Obama (D) 48%, McCain (R) 47%

Sep 9 NBC/WSJ
Obama (D) 47%, McCain (R) 46%

Sep 9 Hotline/Diageo
McCain (R) 45%, Obama (D) 44%

Sep 9 Investor's Business Daily
Obama (D) 45%, McCain (R) 40%

Sep 9 Gallup
McCain (R) 49%, Obama (D) 44%

Sep 9 ARG
Obama (D) 47%, McCain (R) 46%

Sep 9 Rasmussen
McCain (R) 48%, Obama (D) 48%

McCain's convention bump has fizzled out already, in record breaking time. It's a dead heat again.

7. we will now see a slow steady increase in Obama and a steady decline in McCain

The story next week? "What happened to McCain/Palin's momentum".

It will get especially vicious if they continue to duck the media.

9. That will never be the story...
or rather that will never be the spin, or at least not until Obama can sustain a couple of weeks of 8 point polling advantage. The media are psychologically and economically geared to push the story of a close race. The only reason they're going after Palin is because McCain has been up in the polls. If Obama were up by 5 right now, they'd be tearing into him over the "my Muslim faith" comment. But since the polls have him down, they're letting it drop.

11. Yeah that is pretty funny but
I still don't see how they can be within a couple of points. That convention was borrrrring. I couldn't watch more than 15 mins. total.

I am having trouble believing BO is not 30 points ahead!!! Look at the rest of the world!

He should be able to sleep and wake up Nov 5 as POTUS!!

I live in the deep south and work in red neck land. I still don't know anyone who is voting for mccain.

I guess some of this could of been the convention bump but what happened to our convention? AND THAT WAS A PARTY!!

Sorry for the rant but ever since mccain was nominated I was sure it was a freebie to the dems to take the wh. Hillary or BO.

I quit paying attention since I figgered it was a done deal.

THIS SHIT JUST AIN'T HAPPENING!!
