1. I guess this will be the general dynamic until the first debate (Barring shocking news)

The first debate is less than two weeks away, right? I think Sept. 23

2. Well, McCain did NOT hit 50% after his convention, unlike Obama.
Obama will rise again.

5. Why such the big discrepancy between Gallup and Rasmussen?

10. Remember MOE. But possible that Gallup sampe captured little more Indies -- moved to McCain
But their sampling might be more accurate that RAS -- which may have fewer Indies than they should.

6. They're still factoring in part of their "convention bounce" numbers.
This is a "three day rolling average" including Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I'd be interested in the numbers from Tuesday. I think even Gallup will close the gap soon?

11. Biases can subconsiously get into numbers
Even if it's not deliberate. I'd like to know why Gallup is different than any other poll the last couple of days.

16. Unless I'm mistaken
their numbers have been slightly more favorable to the McPalins. Please let me know if that is not right.

18. What I've noticed..
is they make weird "predictions" and have likely voter models that skew Repuke. Their tracking numbers haven't been unusual until now. If more had McCain up this much, something wouldn't look as wrong with Gallup.

12. Why was Gallup right when they had Obama with a good lead but now they're wrong?
I mean is there actual evidence?
