2. I had an interesting experience with a Ron Paul group back in May
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 11:12 AM by groovedaddy
This local group was looking to stay involved, knowing that Paul wasn't going anywhere. I had worked on a resolution against the Patriot Act that passed in our city several years ago and the local Ron Paul group was wanting to do something similar with the National I.D. act. They seem to be very strong supporters of the Constitution and they were seeking my advice in how to proceed with a local resolution. The meeting was sidetracked by 2 surprise visitors, evidently there to stem the rising Ron Paul movement in the G.o.P. They were concerned that Paul supporters would show up at their state convention and disrupt things. They both acknowledged their support for McCain, where upon an elderly gentleman with a veteran's hat on spoke up: "McCain's a war monger. I'll vote for Hillary or Obama before I'll vote for McCain"...many of the Paul supporters were nodding in agreement. It was an interesting evening.
