Maybe I'm giving him too much credit, but it just seems odd -- especially when you see that he went straight into the "fish" analogy (as if to provide himself cover). I really think that the Obama campaign did this on purpose, as if to continue the narrative of McCain being angry, thin-skinned, impulsive and everything else that goes to his temperament.

1. McCain fell into a trap, badly
The GOP is gobsmacked as Obama tells them straight up: Enough: spare me the PHONY OUTRAGE!

Bwahahahaha. Hilarious.

the Obama crew works the 'memory banks' pretty hard...and m.c.johnny's crew aren't up to looking into the past too far...

11. Obama moved his knight into a position to fork McCain
McCain took the bait.

His Rook and Queen are now in a fork. He loses out no matter what he does now.

13. The response Obama gave was too perfect for it not to be a setup.
Even if it wasn't pre-planned, Axelrod knew that as soon as he said it that McCain would turn on the sirens--and Obama could come in and smack down the whiny bitches.

14. Yes - he set it up over the last decade or more. Slyly saying that phrase...
So that he had a long track record of saying it, all in preparation for the one day he would say it against McPOW/Palin.

OBAMA IS OMNISCIENT!!!!

23. Whether it's genius or serendipity, it's a game-changing comment
Because Palin really is 'lipstick on a pig' to John McCain's terrible policies.

You can't see her now without thinking of it. It's Lakoff in action, my friends!

Wooo hoooo!
