Did the McCain/Palin ticket just accuse Obama of being overzealous in favoring sex education in schools?

Why yes, they did.

The ticket who has a member with a 17-year old pregnant child is seriously attempting to use sex education as a wedge-issue.

"It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited political attack against a father of two young girls - a position that his friend Mitt Romney also holds. Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn't define what honor was. Now we know why."

You couldn't make this crap up.

And while we're on the subject of children:

Court records obtained by NEWSWEEK show that during the course of divorce hearings three years ago, Judge John Suddock heard testimony from an official of the Alaska State Troopers' union about how Sarah Palin—then a private citizen—and members of her family, including her father and daughter, lodged up to a dozen complaints against Wooten with the state police. The union official told the judge that he had never before been asked to appear as a divorce-case witness, that the union believed family complaints against Wooten were "not job-related," and that Wooten was being "harassed" by Palin and other family members.

Court documents show that Judge Suddock was disturbed by the alleged attacks by Palin and her family members on Wooten's behavior and character. "Disparaging will not be tolerated—it is a form of child abuse," the judge told a settlement hearing in October 2005, according to typed notes of the proceedings. The judge added: "Relatives cannot disparage either. If occurs the parent needs to set boundaries for their relatives."....

"It is the mother's {Hackett's{ responsibility to set boundaries for her relatives and insure {sic} they respect them, and the disparagement by either parent, or their surrogates is emotional child abuse," Judge Suddock wrote....

Sarah Palin can now add emotional child abuser to her thin resume.

As Josh Marshall notes, this warning was put forth before she became Governor. Any doubt she'd be inclined to abuse her power while Governor to accomplish the same ends?

So really, new info for Charles Gibson to ignore, while asking Palin about what lipstick she favors while "doing God's will" as a selfless public servant.

U.S.A.!
U.S.A.!

1. I fully expect Gibson to ask her beauty pageant questions, but the dossier of
Palin sleaze is becoming difficult to ignore, even for shills like Gibson.

2. Excellent connection.
Point can't be used, but abstinence only ed. and the McCain ad can be linked. The connection to the Palin's baby daddy ways is just there in the background as a fact that just is.

3. I cannot believe the chutzpah of McBush; I wish people would
wake up to the lies being spread.

This topic I think needs to be addressed by Obama, w/o bringing up the daughter.
