Uh Oh. Bad Thoughts. Fetal Alcohol Syndome?
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 06:51 AM by MannyGoldstein
I just had a sad thought:

1. The pieces still don't add up in the Palin pregnancy stories (see http://www.vanityfair.com/online/politics/2008/09/the-authoritative-trig-palin-conspiracy-time-line.html#entry-more for example). Where's the birth certificate?
2. Trig Palin has Down Syndrome. But everything out of Palin's mouth is a lie - why should this "fact" be different?
3. Today we learn that, abandoned by their parents, the Palin kids were out-of-control partiers: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x7010946

The following scenario pops into my head:
1. Trig is Bristol's baby.
2. Trig has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome rather than Down Syndrome. The Down Syndrome claim was adopted as a more-savory way to explain the physical and mental issues that have and will continue to occur.

Pure speculation, and I hope that I'm wrong - as much as I hate everything that Sarah Palin stands for, I wouldn't want this scenario to happen to anyone, let alone a newborn child.

Ugh.

2. Who cares? This is such a losing argument. And for the record
I think Trig is her kid and has Down Syndrome. So do the vast majority of Americans. And that's why this is a stupid thing to dwell on even for a minute.

16. LOL! Your hypocrisy is most amusing. You start off on me in this
thread with your wittle lecture about how I called the post stupid- which I did not do, and here you are sanctimoniously calling me (oh yes you are) dumb. Too delicious. I do so love the smell of blatant hypocrisy in the morning.

3. Trig has epicanthic folds. He might have FAS or FAE in addition
to DS, but he definitely has DS. Additionally, he has the small ears that are a hallmark of DS.

(I still believe that Trig is Bristol's, baby, though. The whole 8 months of mono thing and the plane scenario don't wash for me)

4. The baby clearly has Downs. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is different.
If you want to focus on a kid, try the one who had the choice of jail or the army.

10. I have an FAS child
My youngest is actually my nephew his mother had ..a laundry list of problems...anyhoo Palins baby is Downs...I have also worked with Downs children and adults in the past...FAS..is very different. She probably isn't mother of the year..but who really cares...let the enquirer work that one out..there is plenty to go after with her...Her environmental recored is toxic, her white horse reformer image is made up, she has no problem with abuse of power, the church thing, she has no problem lying to us with a strait face...you can't cram likes a college exam ..for economic, and foreign policy ..she has enough other stuff to explain..the cook, the plane, the brother in law, the libraryian...

17. Palin never "fired" chef,

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/9/7/155428/5188/695/590184

The chef Palin takes credit for firing was simply moved to other assignments, while Palin managed to rack up most of her "impressive" executive experience 567 miles away from Alaska's capital.

Update #1: altered title to emphasize that Palin is not only a liar, she has a lot less experience than you would think.
RobertoW's diary :: ::
Aside from having listed a state plane on eBay, the most popular anecdotal example of Sarah Palin’s credentials as a reformer has been her firing the governor’s chef. This has been quickly seized on by clueless Lower 48 Palin partisans as a colorful example of belt-tighting via downhome folksiness: Palin didn't just kick out the "uppity" gourmet chef, she claimed she planned on cooking herself, with her kids chipping in to make sandwiches.

As you might expect, this turns out to be another Palin fabrication. The 6/29/07 Anchorage Daily News article about the firing actually reveals the shocking truth behind the deception.

First, firing the governor's chef saved no money at all, because the chef was transferred, not fired. In the article, an e-mail from the fired chef, Stefani Marnon, to friends and colleagues is quoted as saying "Friday will be my last day at the house, but I will still be employed with the state."

The chef Sarah fired in fact still prepares elitist gourmet meals in Juneau for government employees, just not in the Governor’s Mansion. According to an item in this ADN article from 1/20/08:
