McPalin Lie again in new Ad - say Obama had legistlation for sex education for kindergartners
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 05:39 PM by TeamJordan23
Latest McCain TV spot charges that Obama’s only achievement in education policy is drafting legislation to teach “comprehensive sex education” to kindergartners.

"Obama’s one accomplishment?

Legislation to teach “comprehensive sex education” to kindergartners.

Learning about sex before learning to read? Barack Obama. Wrong on education. Wrong for your family.”

Comes same day Obama unveils his latest education policy plan.

http://thepage.time.com/2008/09/09/mccain-palin-hit-back-hard-with-own-education-ad/

I'm sorry, but I think this opens the door whether sex education should be taught in schools and whether Abstinence programs work (see Bristol Palin).

Update - Obama campaign responds: “It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited political attack against a father of two young girls – a position that his friend Mitt Romney also holds. Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn’t define what honor was. Now we know why,” said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.

7. the irony of it is that's not such a bad idea
not to kindergarteners, and not the hardcore ins and outs of sex, but there is no reason not to teach third-fourth graders the elementary differences in male-female bodies...

8. Holy Moley, Mr. Foley! Why don't Republicans want children to recognize sexual abuse?
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 05:48 PM by IanDB1
When Der Mittenfuhrerer brought this up during the primaries, even he sort of slunk back and kind of said, "Oh..." when it was explained to his thick, Brill-creamed head.

13. Well, since the campaign seems loath to "offend anyone" by calling her and McCain liars
in straight up language, why shouldn't they keep it up?

The general public's not going to hear much other than the repetition of the charge in every "fair and balanced" local paper TV and radio show.

Republicans do this because they know that they can get away with it, because Democrats are too timid to call a spade a spade.

15. Gee, you don't think it is offensive to say that John McCain has no honor? Why are you guys so hung
up on the word 'liar'?? Obama has been swinging away at both Palin and McCain for days and I think he has said that they have lied. But since he hasn't used the word "liar", you guys are still not satisfied. jesus, he implied that Palin was a pig, for god's sake. What else do you want??

16. Because it's direct and straightforward language that people understand?
Look, Palin comes out and tells a baldfaced lie in her very first national appearance. It already OBVIOUS to people who did a little digging- or knew a little something at the time- or the very next day!

None of this "for it before she was against it" business. The woman lied. She made a clear and intentional false statement of fact.

Why on earth after all this time Democrats have a problem saying that without mincing words to oblivion and dulling the effect is beyond me.

17. Obama needs to put these reponses in ads. Repubs play to the emotions with ads,
Obama responds to the intellect with high minded talk. Who you think is convincing the voter?

21. Time to hit these bitches hard.
If they wanna play rough, we'll play rough. Lets beat these fuckers over the head with an ad telling the American people that Sarah Palin billed victims of sexual assault for their rape kits.

The Rethugs would sure as hell run with this type of information if they had it. Why won't we do the same?
