4. I have already donated

but I am now beginning to think that Barack should NOT have foregone public financing. Now it almost smacks of arrogance and mismanagement.

Flame me if you want, since I don't have 1000+ post, but I've been a loyal Democrat and yes, I am feeling helpless.

8. Prepare for enlightenment. Strap yourself in.

1) We are holding all the Kerry states and have multiple other options to get to 207 EV.

2) We are dominating McCain, on the order of 30 - 1 in field offices.

3) We have racked up a massive registration of new voters

4) In spite of the Palin pick surveys indicate our enthusiasm is still much higher than McCain voters

5) After our convention, our average bounce consistently put us nicely above McCain.

6) After the Repub convention, the best they've done with their average bounce is tie us.

7) Even during McCain's bounce, he still wasn't able to flip any Kerry states surveyed in the latest round of Rasmussen Reports polling.

In short, we have EVERY structural advantage.

9. Why to the DNC instead of O?

The DNC can also spend it on Congressional races, but it seems our biggest problem is at the top of the ticket right now. We're losing. I know, "convention bounce" and all that, but still…

10. I wish I could

As a state employee, I'm forbidden to campaign for any candidate or political party. I can't have a single bumper sticker, or yard sign, and can't donate a cent. I have to sit on my hands and watch in frustration, or lose my job.

I should be retired before 2012, and I'll do what I can then. Sorry.
