If your daughter is impregnated by a rapist, she should have the baby
according to Sarah Palin.

C-SPAN has aired the tape of a debate in Alaska held prior to the governor's election. Sarah Palin and two others were asked questions.

Palin said that, if her daughter were to become pregnant as the result of a rape, she should "choose life."

Her own daughter???

When will the media air this clip? When will CNN and MSNBC show it? They obviously know it exists.

2. If the daughter is an adult I would support any decision she made.
Left to me... I wouldn't let her if she is underage. If you are underage your bones are still developing and a baby is a parasite that takes nutrition from the mother's body. Ending a pregnancy for any reason is a horrible decision for a woman... but from a rape there are too many complications. Emotional and physical. I would have my daughter tested for every disease going because there are now to many that aren't curable even before we did a pregnancy test.

5. I keep thinking about the emotional scars
if a woman must bear a child of rape. Being raped is traumatic enough ... and then to go through nine months where you are not allowed to forget or even to begin the healing process ... well, it sickens me to think about it.

19. Then there is this
House Passes Grant for Processing Untested Rape Kits

"The House of Representatives passed the Debbie Smith Reauthorization Act of 2008 last week, which will help process a backlog of rape kits across the country. The Act provides funds for a grant program that started in 2004, with the objective to process the nearly 400,000 untested rape kits nationwide. In the United States, more than 200,000 rapes are reported to authorities each year. Thousands of victims agree to a rape kits, an invasive process that can take up to six hours. These individuals are often unaware that the critical evidence gathered is never tested.

http://www.feminist.org/news/newsbyte/uswirestory.asp?id=11163

So even if you pay for it, when, exactly will it get tested?

13. Why don't they just come out and say
If you are raped, here is your punishment:

You don't have choice, but the rapist does (he chooses who he wants to be the mother of his child).
You must carry rapist's child to full term, even if your own life is in danger.
You get to face your child's father at his rape trial and have your life put under a microscope.
Rapist may sue for custody or visitation rights, thereby sentencing you and your child to 18+ years of association with your rapist. If you lose custody, you may be liable for child support.

30. Plus, the rapist gets to be rewarded by having his genes passed on.
The ultimate evolutionary reward. A reward guaranteeing that a genetic proclivity for rape among certain human males will continue to be passed on to future generations.

She wants to deny any choice other than "life", which means no fucking choice. Or that she chooses for everyone.

If they refuse to show the clip and discuss it, then we have to make them show it. Or at least try to make them. I've been sending e-mails to CNN and MSNBC as a start. Anyone else?

25. The MSM will not show anything that reveals something like this about Palin.
This issue probably cost Ridge a chance at the VP. He has exceptions for rape, incest, and the health of the mother for abortion. Too liberal for the RW zealots.

Did she really say "choose" or did she say or mean "must"?
