remember how bush did so incredibly poorly in the debates against Kerry? in '04?

and yet the rethugs loved bush

remember the bulge in the back of his jacket?

the bulge, his lousy performance, whatever....nothing mattered to rethugs, bush was their man

rethugs thought bush was fabulous

even though Kerry outshone Bush, freepers identified with Bush

they sided with bush when Kerry towered over him, both in answers, oratory, height, etc.....

same thing could happen with palin

rethugs will find her refreshing, they'll identify with her, and even if she bombs and falls flat on her face (which probably won't happen since she's appparently cunning and bright and a quick study), they'll be elated

so.....how should dems proceed?

again, we've got to listen to Lakoff.....

we've got to make lots of statements on a more global level, pointing out her extremism, pointing out in plain english what this means for ordinary americans, how this will negatively affect their lives

1. I had a dream about the debate the other night ...

At the very beginning of the debate, Obama noticed a lump in the back of McCain's suit jacket, reached in and pulled out a wireless device and an earpiece. He held it up for everyone to see, and the audience booed and laughed him off the stage.

I woke up with a smile :D
