Legacy of the Bush years: Lies are perfectly OK. THE TRUTH is now on the endagered list.

Maybe it was always this way, and just the wisdom of age and experience brings it to light. But we can talk McCain, Palin, Bush, Cheney until we are blue in the face - but it skirts the root cause.

A big chunk of the public now thinks that telling lies is just fine. As long as the story fits the belief system it is all OK. And the media just plays right into this, treating anything that comes from the Right wing AS IF is the truth.

So Obama's ads and speeches, Obama's and Biden's debates should focus on the truth.

My question - will people notice, or - worse - care?
