The War-Monger and The Right Wing Extremist
The most dangerous ticket ever produced. McPOW is a War Senator, a War Candidate and wants to be a War President. His War Extremism is paired, now with a Far Right Wing Extremist VP Candidate. Here is all we need to know about her, and what we need to make sure that everyone knows about her. This ticket is dangerous. Not in their appeal to Americans, but if they were ever allowed to get anywhere near the White House. They are too close already.

If Palin ever makes it to Washington, D.C., these micro-scandals will likely melt away as fast as Alaskan snow. What will remain: Palin's shockingly extremist stances on social issues.

According to OntheIssues.org, Palin opposes abortion even in cases of rape and incest, opposes stem cell research, supports a constitutional ban on gay marriage, supports teaching creationism alongside evolution in schools, opposes the theory that global warming is man-made and opposes explicit sex-education programs in public schools.

But the speech — written by one of President Bush's speechwriters — didn't tell us the truth about Sarah Palin's extremist positions.

For instance, the fact that she believes the war in Iraq is "God's task," or that she thinks we should teach creationism in our public schools, or that she doesn't believe in global warming, or that she is so anti-choice, she doesn't even support abortion in the case of rape or incest. What does she support? Dishonored Sen. Ted Stevens' infamous "Bridge to Nowhere" (before she was against, it, of course.) Banning books from public libraries. Big Oil (her inauguration was even sponsored by BP!).

Sarah Palin did a great job of delivering a Karl Rove-style political attack speech last night. That may make her a savvy politician but it sure doesn't help anyone with their mortgages, skyrocketing fuel and health care costs, and wages that just can't keep up. Americans don't want another far-right, anti-science ideologue in the White House, and the Republicans don't deserve another four years.

Here's the reality: Sarah Palin is a right-wing Christian anti-choice extremist who opposes abortion for any reason whatsoever, except to save the life of the girl or woman. No exception even for rape, incest or the health of the woman. No exception for a 10-year-old, a woman carrying a fetus with no chance of life, a woman on the edge of suicide—let alone the woman who is not ready to be a parent, who is escaping domestic violence, who is already stretched to the limit as a single mother. She wants to force more than 1 million women and girls a year to give birth against their will and judgment.

She wants to use the magnificent freedom the women's movement has won for her at tremendous cost and struggle—the movement that won her the right to run those marathons and run Alaska—to take away the freedom of every other woman in the country.

She is a successful and politically smart woman, but she is also a right wing extremist who tried to delete books she didn't approve of from the town library where she was mayor and tried to fire the librarian when that didn't work; who is a creationist and, like the current occupant of the White House, who has little use for science, whether it is the science of evolution or the science of global warming; who never had a passport until last year when she visited her National Guard troops in Kuwait. Otherwise a stranger to the world in which America must make its way.

She is a successful and politically smart woman, but she is not merely pro-life, she is a no-exceptions-never-mind-rape-or-incest pro-lifer who thinks woman have no right to participate in decisions about what happens to their bodies if they become pregnant.

American women are smarter than John McCain could possibly imagine. Sarah Palin with her right-wing, extremist-attitudes is simply George Bush all over again. She is against equal pay, universal health care, is in favor of capital punishment, believes that the Iraq War is a task from God, is a card carrying member of the NRA, is in favor of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and is opposed to a woman’s right to choose, even in the cases of rape or incest and believes sex education should teach abstinence only. She doesn’t approve of birth control. She is clearly George Bush on estrogen.
