Stopped by local (St Louis City) Obama HQ
for a little while today...they are out of any campaign schwag. Several people came in asking for yard signs and buttons and there were none to sell. They are supposed to get new stuff in on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I hope this lack of campaign schwag translates into votes.

One of the volunteers, a lady in her 60s, said she is new to politics. She worked during the primaries and DROVE from Illinois (near St Louis MO) to Louisville KY to help with the primary down there. She is hardcore!!!

3. Here in Kalamazoo
The Obama campaign has no schwag. They don't do that.
However, our area has WAY more Obama yard signs than anywhere else in Michigan because our County Democratic Party contracted a union print shop for a pallet of Obama '08 signs.
Neither the national campaign nor their "new to politics" local staff want anything to do with local Democratic Party activities.

4. I've been wanting to buy the Obama Irish shirt on his site for a while now
When I decided they were never going to restock it, I tried at least 4 other shirts/jackets and they're all sold out. I take it that's a good sign but they either need to take stuff off the site that isn't available or restock more often. I went ahead and donated anyway but I'd also like my money to go towards something I could use to advertise my support.

5. Things are gonna start picking up soon everywhere.
:woohoo:

I love hearing that story about the woman in her 60's! Good for her!

I just signed up for a CA Obama Camp training later this month!
