Isn't it interesting that John McCain, Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin travel in a clump while Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Joe Biden generally campaign separately, covering three times as much ground and reaching three times as many people (actually, more than three times since each of them draw larger crowds than anyone in the McCain pack)?

Not only is Obama not afraid of appearing without his VP nominee propping him up, his wife also has her own schedule that enables her to substantially expand his reach. On the other hand, the McCain thicket moves around the country like the Blob wasting its most precious resources - its three top principals - by focusing them all on one event at a time.

Way to go.

as a foursome, but the four of them were out all over the place, expanding the reach as you said.

Right now, right after the conventions, Obama, Biden and team have truly hit the ground running covering ground in many directions.

5. Actually, the weekend after our convention Biden and Obama did joint appearances.

And as soon as Palin finishes getting coached on what "issues" means, she'll probably be let out on her own too (if you don't count her dozens of handlers, that is).

7. The difference is:

Palin and Cindy aren't going at it alone because they are UNABLE TO. They aren't knowledgable or savvy enough on the issues to deal with the events.

Maybe after a few weeks Palin can be left alone, but by then we will have covered so much more ground.

And even when Palin is let free, how much you want to bet she won't be doing town halls, but instead just giving prepared speeches and leaving.

8. Cindy bombed in her interview with Katie Couric

She had no idea what her husband's position was on abortion, stating that he did NOT want Roe v. Wade overturned. I doubt they'll let her say anything not scripted just like they don't trust Palin. What a pathetic trio.

doesn't want Admiral Combover on the road with Sexy Sarah unless she's there to keep an eye on him.
