Don't you get it? Palin has to explain NOTHING!
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 07:48 AM by PCIntern
All these issues, all these questions are "beneath her dignity" and are proffered by an angry liberal media who wants to take her down. The Rovers pre-emptively declared war on said media and they're rocked back on their heels, both trying to explain that they're 'objective' (HA! on all counts) and that they have 'genuine' adulation for this Conservative (read: fascist) "Rock Star". It was a 'clever ploy', and what the media needs to do is to stand up and say, we're not gonna be dissed, we're gonna do a job on her and no holds-barred. You want to play that game, we'll play our game...we'll hammer this stuff 24/7 until you say "Uncle".

But will they?

2. Actually, I think that it's the people who need to hound
Palin as well as the media. it's clear that the tactic of the right and the McCain/Palin campaign is to demonize the media to such an extent that there's broad support for her not answering questions.

3. If the media was doing their job she would
But the Rove machine has put such fear into the media over the last 8 years that they give her free ride once they were reminded who owns them.

4. They can play the game until something scandalous enough breaks
to cause the dim bulbs to rethink their infatuation with Miss Moooseburger. If she's named in that guy's divorce papers it will be very, very damaging. If photos turn up, she's toast. As far as troopergate, librarygate, etc. - the dim bulbs think that's nitpicky. Sex has got to be in the mix.

5. Yes they will, it is why Obama isn't attacking her now. Let the media do it and then when they ease
up he can start in to bring it back into the headlines again

She will need to answer eventually or every question asked to McCain will be about her and the questions she has not answered.

6. C'mon people!
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 08:29 AM by Vinnie From Indy
Why in the hell do you think she was chosen as VP candidate?

She was chosen SOLELY to draw attention away from the historic disaster of the last eight years under GW Bush and the GOP. Discussing Palin is akin to someone bitching about the next days breakfast menu on the Titanic as it slowly slips into the ocean. IT MISSES THE POINT! Karl Rove and John McCain WANT YOU to criticize, attack, ridicule and, most importantly, discuss Palin. It really doesn't matter on what issue she is discussed, just that she is discussed.

The point is to stay focused and marry GW Bush to John McCain and to discuss the issues that will sway undecided voters. The Obama/Biden campaign is not taking the bait. Why should we?
