horrifying question: What if McCain drops out of campaign?
Palin has accepted the nomination for vice president.

What if McCain's health goes sour in several weeks and he has to drop out of the campaign?

What is the status of her nomination then? What would happen?

The woman is a Dominionist -- a religious extremist with plans to take control of the government so her kind of Christians will rule the earth post Apocalypse.

Any scenario that catapults her to the position of commander of nuclear forces should make us tremble.

1. If she was just going to be a VP, I wouldn't give a toss.
It's the idea of her becoming the most powerful leader in the world that has me freaked!

4. why is that horrifying? If Palin were on top of the ticket, we'd win in
a landslide. Sounds good to me.

5. I think that
The republicans would be able to nominate someone to take her place. Just like as if Palin dropped out they could nominate someone to take her place. The only time it would be a problem is after the election.

Succession only applies after being elected.
