My two cents: Focus on Palin's claims to be a reformer (at odds with her performance as mayor, guv)
Palin has a zillion strikes against her -- we can keep putting out ALL these stories and hoping something will stick with the MSM ... but maybe the Obama campaign and others can focus on the well-documented, well-reported specifics of how her claim to be a "reformer, standing up to the lobbyists, etc." is at odds with her performance as mayor of Wasilla and as governor. She was allowed to lie in her speech, and was barely fact-checked by the pundits reviewing her performance. She is COMPLETELY politics-as-usual; undecided voters need to see that she's NOT the maverick she pretends to be.

Three points I'm putting out to anyone who will listen (I'm working on my LTTE):

1) She HIRED a lobbyist to get as much federal money as she could get for Wasilla. How is that "standing up to the lobbyists"?

2) Despite all that, she left the town IN DEBT when she left! How is that "reform"?

3) She initially supported the Ketchican Bridge; in addition, ALASKA KEPT THE MONEY for the bridge (and apparently did something else with it), though SHE claims she "told the federal government 'we'll build it ourselves.'"

Maybe undecided voters would respond to those kinds of easy-to-understand-hypocrisy facts?

I dunno. Just a thought.

Have a good weekend, everyone. Gobama!
