Hey, Dems, Let the Media Expose Palin's Crimes...Dems Should Stress the Importance of the Issues

Keep voters focused on the HUGE difference between Obama's policies and plans and rethug policies.

Make sure voters realize how ghastly things will be if McCain gets elected.

We dems need to stress the economy above all, and combat the lies spewing forth from rethugs.

But we need to STOP bashing Palin.

I agree with Huffington: it's possible trap, and will bog us down in this tabloid smokescreen.

She could out clean, don't put it past her crony connections or what not.

And then it would all backfire on dems!

Please: start to refocus voters' attention on the crucial issues facing our country and how only Obama is the right leader.

1. Listen, in theory it's true. Issues are most important, BUT
On the current playing field, perception and the media are pretty much everything. Elections are rarely, if ever, swung by real issues in this country. They are swung by character and personality. These people will lose because they are being revealed to be a bunch of CRETINS. That's what will keep people from voting for them.

5. perceptions
*are* everything

the right wing has already rallied around palin

they can "relate" to her so-called 'character' and personality

the target audience/electorate is NOT swayed by arguments and evidence showing the rethugs are cretins

we've known that for many years they're cretins

we've got to get back to the issues and stop letting them make this election to be about personalities (as rotten as theirs are)

2. Bingo
Why are we trying to draw a flush, when our two-pair is already good enough to win? If she's caught having an affair, or was involved in a scandal, that's great. But Obama/Biden can win on the issues alone.

Of course, we need to show the media we're still interested in the scandals. but getting back to the issues should be priority number one. If this election is about the issues, we win.

8. Sadly you are correct. If the media was doing it's job we
wouldn't have gone into Iraq, we wouldn't have had bush in 2004 and this election would not be close.
