I know this video link has been posted 100 times. And it will be posted 100 more because it's important stuff.

But seeing this crack-pot (Sarah Palin) telling a congregation to pray for a pipeline deal to go through because it's God's will for people and oil companies to cooperate is, to my mind, worse than snake-handling.

It's the quintessence of the total collapse of any wall between church and state.

Accepting all military policy decisions made by Dick Cheney as God's Will is one thing. Religion and militarism are ancient bed-fellows. But expanding God's Will to include the minutiae of a public/private oil pipeline negotiation is outside even the usual historical standards of American RW theocratic nationalism.

"Good news, Brother. In accordance with God's Will we have hiked your property assessment value by 2.37%. Praise Him!"
