Sarah Palin is Roxie Hart from the movie Chicago (Fake Star, Media Control, Getting Away w/ Murder)

When I read this morning that her Rasmussen favorable number (58%) is supposedly higher than Obama's, I just keep thinking of Roxie Hart.

In order to save her ass from a murder conviction, Roxie and her lawyer fabricate a folksy, reformed sinner story and sell it to an eager press and media. Suddenly the criminal becomes fashionable--women dye their hair blond, men have a crush on her. (Just yesterday I read that women were rushing out to buy glasses that look like Sarah's) And most importantly, the press and media are played like total puppets (remember journalist Mary Sunshine?)and how the lawyer (Billy Flynn) completely controls media access to her and what she says. She literally gets away with murder.

And, to top it off, Roxie has a fake pregnancy for media sympathy!!

I guess it's a game as old as Hollywood and the modern media, but you would think that the public would wise up to it and not swallow it every time it's played out.
