McCain/Palin - The Snarkiest Campaign In History? Obnoxious Comedians?
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 07:15 PM by Median Democrat
One thing that I noticed throughout the RNC convention is that rather than really discuss any issues, the each speech at the RNC appears to be heavily laden in sarcasm. The DNC attacks on McCain tended to be fact and issue based. Even the house comment was based on his multiple homes. However, the question is whether the talking point laugh lines are effective. Remember the obnoxious bullies in elementary school who would stupidly laugh at something, and all the other kids would laugh along? That's the RNC convention.

Before it was tire guages. Today it is community organizing. It only accounts for three years of Obama's lifetime, and it is pretty admirable, yet suddenly it becomes a talking point for members of the GOP to laugh derisively. Just say "community organizer" and they will likely involuntarily laugh on cue.

Oddly, if you listen yourself, it sounds snarky and obnoxious, yet the MSM is praising and fawning over such obnoxious behavior. Who knows? Perhaps that is America. We will see at the election whether we are nothing more than a bunch of elementary kids laughing along with the obnoxious bullies so that we can fit in.
