Even if that state has much of the US oil reserves?

4.25 to $6.00 a gallon?
I don't get it.

1. Gas is down 22 cents a gallon on average in Alaska since yesterday
No exaggeration, from $4.51 yesterday to $4.29 today:

That's wild. I don't think I've ever seen that type of move in one day in any state, upward or downward.

It would be interesting to hear the rationale.

Gas prices are going to plummet before election day. The trading price per gallon is already down to $2.74, meaning the pump prices should be 50 or 60 cents higher. But the pump prices have not dropped, probably due to caution about impact by storms in the gulf, plus the typical fast-to-rise, slow-to-drop reality.
