I knew it! My "concerned Obama will be assassinated" is now saying "I won't vote for him"!

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!!!

A couple of months ago she was so deeply, deeply concerned for Obama's safety. Now she says he's two faced. Said she "loved" Sarah Palin.

I'm sorry I gave her the benefit of the doubt. But I thought she was better than that.

Sad because she's really hurting right now -- can't pay her rent, getting food from a community emergency food center, husband gambled away all their money, no health care and makes just enough money not to qualify for home heating assistance...

Don't these people ever learn?

30. Beginning to think so. It turns out this is her 3rd husband.
She herself said "I made bad choices in men." So, there ya go.

2. How can anyone love Sarah Palin?
As if Palin is going to do jackshit to help your friend.

I find this stuff baffling.

33. I have a Wiccan friend too who is a repig
even voted for chimp, I'm like :wtf:! It makes no sense at all because Wiccans are considered Satanic by the repigs and seriously if they could they would literally have them burned at the stake!

5. Nope...
they never learn. They just latch onto wedge issues contrary to their interests. Does this friend live here in the "Land of Steady Habits"? If so, though it's infuriating, it doesn't matter. CT is bluer than the sky. A vote for anybody but Obama is a losing vote.

13. Yes, she's here.
She lives in a racist town, but I thought that since she had put herself through college that she might rise above her background. But she's sticking with her ethnic preferences.
No, it won't matter here in CT, but I had higher hopes for her...

these sorts of people will absolutely get what they deserve should McLame manage to get the presidency. I've no room for any kind of sympathy for them.

14. Ihad a suspicion that her "fear" was just masking her prejudice
because Obama is black. It makes me furious. I'd rather confront a raving racist lunatic than this kind of smarmy "concern."

16. I thought of that afterwards.
I did argue with her. I told her that Palin was a secessionist and asked her how Palin could recite the pledge of allegiance, with all that stuff about "one nation INDIVISIBLE." She said that "all men are created equal" isn't true either...

24. That's a dumb argument
No wonder you lost. This is the big downside of the DU thing: it produces so many dumb arguments that people never know how to make the right argument when it's necessary.

25. Well, I did the best I could.
I was trying to argue on her turf: the pledge of allegiance. isn't that a rethuglican icon? I hope I got her to thinking, just a bit.

26. Oh, no. Don't be. CT is a blue state. Not to worry.
We'll just all get active and get out there and work for Obama. I'm going to New Hampshire on Sept. 20th for a weekend of door knocking and talking to unaffiliated women voters about McCain's stand on Roe v. Wade. I think I can change some thinking, if not votes! I'll be back in touch!

20. Don't think twice about her.
She and millions of other unthinking fools will try to vote us back to the Dark Ages come November. The women in my family will all vote against our best interests this fall and I just feel angry toward them now. They refuse to watch or listen to the Dems. They must be safely nestled in the arms of the murdering Rethugs...for whatever reason. I send you energy and hope, Kim

21. Reminds me of that poor pathetic woman whose videotaped question was aired
during one of the republi-CON debate. She had lost her job, she had no benefits, no health insurance, she was upper-middle-age with no prospects and not in the best of health - and her biggest issue was that she couldn't possibly vote for a presidential candidate who didn't wear a frickin' flag pin. THAT was her biggest concern in the whole world.

Go Figure.

27. They don't learn, and they deserve everything they get from their choice.
It's really as simple as that. In the event of a McCain victory, there's no way on Earth I'll even contemplate feigning sympathy for people who lose their houses and their livelihood because they voted for him out of fear and prejudice unless they have severe mental health difficulties.

From the "community organizers". Palin doesn't believe in them and if she's a Palin fan, neither should she.

32. The problem is that I wanted to keep the debate on the issues, not on her personal issues.
I am not blaming her for her problems. And of course I want her to see the disconnect. I tried, tho, but I could see she wasn't convinced. Blood was thicker than water with this person.
