4. Talk about push polling
Jeezus. Tomorrow's question will be:

"What is the greatest quality of W?"
1. His strong religious faith
2. Resolute in face of the enemy
3. Bold vision taking America to new heights

6. sent the following e-mail:
Stupid poll with ONLY POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES for Bush????? Are you nuts???? How biased can you be????

What is President Bush's strongest selling point?
The war on terrorism
The economy
Character

Actually the best selling we could have is to sell him to another country. None of those is a strong point for Bush: He has no character (since birth abusing animals and now approving abusing prisoners, using religion as a crutch, showing no decency or pity for dead soldiers--just three examples of behavior showing his "character"); the war on "terrorism" is such a joke he calls it now a "catastrophic victory" (what is that???); and the economy: he is the first president since H. Hoover to create 0 jobs during his presidency.

What is wrong with you?

7. We support pre-emptive strikes????
Quote from article:

"Republicans argue that Bush’s policy of pre-emptive strikes against enemies makes the nation safer. Many Democrats support the policy but argue that the president is ill equipped to carry it out. "

8. I just sent this email
I doubt they'll read it:

<<Wow, talk about a biased poll! ("What is President Bush's strongest selling point?"). Unable to find a "strong selling point" for this failed president, I can only say - at least he'll be a one-termer. In every important area - the environment, the deficit, jobs, health care, international terrorism - Bush has been a failure.>>

9. Unbelievable.
I sent this e-mail:

You should have included three other options:

1. None of the above
2. He can lie without the burden of a conscience
3. He favors the corporations over the working class

10. I sent this one, probably could have been stronger but
Bush's strongest selling point?

Well he sold this country down the river, with two unfinished botched wars and deficits as far as the eye can see.

11. My email, (long)
I deeply regret that I am unable to respond to your poll today. In my opinion, each of the listed choices represents an indictment rather than a selling point against President Bush.

It is hard to choose from among them just which one is the greatest indictment.

As far as the war on terrorism goes, he completely botched the Afghanistan operation and has failed to even capture Osama bin Laden, who he has stated was behind the attacks in the first place. Instead he took us into a war with a country that represented no threat and had no connection with 9/11, and in so doing, has inflamed passions in the Islamic world that have only deepened the hatred and ultimately inspired more people to join these terrorist groups. In the meantime, he has stretched our military so thin that we are now unable to address genuine threats to our national security. This is an indictment, not a selling point.

On the economy, I know that I am a hell of a lot worse off after nearly four years of Bush than I was under Clinton. He has overseen a huge net loss of jobs. The jobs that have been created under his watch are by and large, lower paying and have fewer benefits than the ones they have replaced. He has given incentives to corporations to outsource our jobs to other countries. The stock market has veered between tanking, and just barely holding steady with no real growth, and continues to be lower than what it was when he took office. On top of that, he has transformed a record budget surplus into record deficits. Again, I see this as an indictment and not a selling point.

The character issue may be the biggest failing of all. He talks about personal responsibility, but has consistently failed to take responsibility for any mistake he has made. When asked recently, he couldn't even think of any mistakes he's made. That is a mark of arrogance and not of character. He consistently passes the buck for any failing in his administration, always passing the buck to someone else. He has completely negated Harry Truman's dictum that when you are the POTUS, the Buck Stops Here. He has consistently lied and mislead the American people in order to get what he wants. He bullies, intimidates and threatens other nations to get what he wants from them. He gives sweetheart contracts to his business cronies like Halliburton. Maybe worst of all, he constantly goes on about what a good Christian he is, but his actual behavior is about as far as you could get from the teachings of Jesus. He lifts up the rich at the expense of the poor. He sows hatred and divisiveness for political gain. He lies and cheats in the name of The Lord, and invokes His name to justify the killing of thousands. These things only even begin to scratch the surface of his character issues, which are simply to many to list. In my opinion, this is the worst indictment of all.

I wish that your poll had given some options to those who don't think the President has any strong selling points, but I have noticed that the media, as liberal as it supposedly is, seems to do everything it can to prop up this President and avoid asking the difficult questions about his performance in office. I had hoped to see better from you, but have long since given up on expecting it.

Sincerely,
