Time/CNN Poll: Nader swings Ohio toward McCain
Ohio Naderites need to be woken up or snapped out of their dreamlife:

http://www.pollster.com/blogs/timecnn_iowa_minnesota_ohio_83.php

Just Obama and McCain:

Obama (D) 47
McCain (R) 45

With third-party candidates:

Obama (D) 45
McCain (R) 44
Nader (I) 5
Barr (L) 2
McKinney (G) 1

(Hat tip to dkos)

40. I talk to repukes everyday here in Ohio. They know they're hurting
But they either have no idea why OR it's 'the do-nothing Congress' fault.

I kid you not.

And what's weird is that they mostly agree on the issues, but the RW has so successfully demonized the word "liberal" that they automatically dismiss ANYTHING that comes from the left. Face, eat nose.

I had one bright spot of encouragement today. A rabid rightwinger I see occasionally is so disenchanted with the R ticket and the selection of Palin she's considering Obama. At the very least she'll either abstain or vote 3rd party.

BTW, she's very impressed with Obama's refusal to climb into the mud with the other hogs. I told her what Nancy Reagan said about him and you could tell that impressed her too.

Keep working on 'em, guys. One by one we'll turn the tide.

13. That has long been suspected. I tend to believe it's more informal
With some Repukes contributing to his campaign individually. But at the end of the day, Ralph has gone from someone who was worth admiring to a real POS. As far as I'm concerned he's part of a long line of people who have blood on their hands when it comes to Iraqu. No Bush = no Iraq.

14. Nader takes 5% in Ohio? LOL
To do that, he'd have to double his percentage from 2000.

Think that's going to happen or do you think that people respond to polling questions differently than they actually vote?

20. Yeah, but they weight for that
Pew did a study on this recently, and discovered that young people without landlines were similar politically to young people with landlines. So they can just weight the young people with landlines more heavily to account for those without landlines. Plus, since this is a live poll, we have to factor in a race-of-interviewer effect. Some calling centers have mostly black callers and this tends to skew things toward Obama. That's why I tend to trust robo-polling more.

blaming Nader for Gore's loss and the subsequent 8yrs of hell. 2000, Gore could not even win his home state or Clinton's. Sure he got more votes than Bush, sure he was selected by the Supreme Court but if he held TN and Arkansas maybe he would have been able to persuade the courts. Who knows, it is just easier to blame Nader and the Greens.

The bigger problem is not those who go out and vote - that is a persons democratic right, and they can vote for who ever they please. The problem as I see it, is getting those 30% or more of Americans who DONT vote at all and winning their support for Obama. Why this election is even close is beyond me - media bias not withstanding.

Get it together, get people out to vote for Obama, and do the rest of the world a favour and get rid of the Republican administration.

Peace

on edit - sorry folks I realise AR is Arizona, I don't know what Arkansas is. Fixed in text.

39. I am not ragging on Gore
I like Al Gore and especially what he has become; and in my heart know that the world would not be in the mess it is in if he had have become president in 2000 like he should have.

My point being that it is unusual for a candidate to lose his (and in the future her) home state.

One of my pet beefs with the American electoral system is how many people choose not to vote; anywhere from half to a third of the electorate can't be bothered to take time out to vote. These people should be the target of the Democratic Party, not Nader and an 8 year old grudge.

The rest of the world has a stake in this election, the Democratic Party cannot stuff this up.

Peace

34. I agree
Yes, Gore had the election stolen from him. But it is his fault that the election was even close. Even the "2000 Al Gore" was so much better than Bush that it should have been a landslide. Obama needs to win this election and convince people that he is the best option. If I were Nader, I wouldn't run because I know it could allow a far worse choice to win. Nader, however, has every right to run. Instead of calling Nader supporters insane, we should win them over and I believe Obama will win most of them over by November.

3.5% MOE by the way.
