Poll question: Joe Biden: The best possible VP Choice, or the bestest?
Raise your hand if you just really LOVE Joe Biden!

"I was impressed,'' Biden said of Palin's address. I was impressed.

"I also impressed by what I didn't hear in the speech,'' Biden said in an interview aired by CBS News' The Early Show. "I didn't hear a word--didn't hear the phrase middle-class mentioned, I didn't hear a word about health care. I didn't hear a single word about what we're going to do about the housing crisis, college education, all the things that the middle class is being burdened by now.

"I didn't hear the words Afghanistan or Pakistan where al-Qaeda lives and bin Laden resides, so I also, you know, there was a deafening silence about the hole that the Republicans have dug us into and any specific answers to how the McCain-Palin ticket is going to get us out of that hole,'' said Biden, warming up for his nationally televised running-mates debate with his counterpart.

2. Although I'm a Biden freak,
I wasn't really thrilled with him becoming VP - would have preferred him as SOS. (Strangely, he didn't ask for my input.)

But since he became the guy, I've come to believe it's the BESTEST possible team, ever. On so many levels. We couldn't be any luckier.

5. Biden is a smart choice for VP. He has experience and he was born in Pennsylvania which helps there.
