Palin's Greatest Appeal to the Unthinking V.V. Contingent? Think Again!

McCain seems to think that he has a lock on the "Vagina Voter" subset with Palin. The storyline about her child Trig is also a huge benefit, right?

Newsflash: Just because we have vaginas, we aren't stupid. Oh we may be temperamental and snappish sometimes, but you have 60 days until the election, my friend. Your trick won't work.

This woman has a child with Down Syndrome. She was a big Hillary supporter. She's uber-hippie, "do-your-own-thing", freewheeling sort.

The day Obama picked Joe Biden she was FURIOUS! Her V.V. qualifications were out in full display: "EPIC FAIL" she wrote. She said she wouldn't vote, or she might even vote McCain depending on if he chose a woman. It was a pretty sad display of a woman who was out and proud that her ovaries and not her mind or her soul were her sole purpose in voting this year. She wanted no logic in it. No uterus on the ticket, no vote. Once Hillary was out, so was she.

A few days later, Palin was selected by McCain. Knowing that my online V.V. friend wanted only ovaries and not decency on the ticket, and knowing about her history with her D.S. child, I checked in. Sure enough, she was testing the waters on her journal, yapping up in stereotypical mindless V.V. fashion, "Oooh isn't it so great! Now no matter who wins history will be made." She was excited that another mother with a D.S. child was on the ticket.

I choked back vomit as I left her site.

Today I went back and noticed some funny things:

1. The anti-Biden rant has been deleted.

2. Her swoon over Palin has been deleted.

3. Her last several diaries are all about topics including "sexism", "war mongering", "protesting the RNC" and "reproductive choice".

So this woman, that frankly I don't know from Adam except by reading her journal for many years, has done a complete 180. She is not only not supporting Palin, she is virulently anti-Palin. And she was a die-hard Hillary supporter, she considered abandoning an entire ticket because Obama didn't choose a woman, and she even considered Palin.

This is about the most militant "Vagina Voter" example I can think of and yeah, Palin ain't gonna work out like they seem to hope she will.

I think she appealed to the people who were going to vote for McInsane anyway and turned off TWICE as many decent human beings who saw her nasty screed for what it was.
