the vileness reached a level that can no longer be ignored by the American public. On one hand you have a candidate calling out to people to join together to get serious about our countries problems and work together to fix them and on the other a call to everything that is ugly in our natures for no other purpose than to bring people down.
The contrast is stark and in the end I like Obama have faith the American people are a good people and that they will reject the posturing and divisiveness

...I really don't think she's a bigot in her heart (she once invited a homeless African American woman to live in our house for a spell, against the rest of the family's better judgment), it's just that it never occurred to her that colored might be the teensiest bit offensive.
