1. I completely agree and have said the same thing...
This is not a man of any conviction.

Sadly though, I think he represents how a good chunk of people feel. They are ticked at bush, are tentatively open to a kerry presidency, but will fall back hook line and sinker once bushy gets propped up and presented again as the strong, fearless leader.

Bank on it.

2. By friday he will probably announce he is supporting Bush
By friday he will probably announce he is supporting Bush. And the media will blast it all over. Of course Imus according to Stern has very low ratings.

6. You're probably right, but I have to ask does anyone really care?

I used to watch his show on MSNBC, but it got annoying real fast. Is his radio show that big of a deal?

7. well, duh
he's in the top 1% of earners, and so he got a tax break. He won't have anyone going off to war, and basically doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself. Who'd ya think he's voting for??

10. he's a drug-addled old whore
who has a large enough audience that pols, even dome otherwise honorable ones, think they have to kiss his ass from time to time. Kerry used to be on once in awhile, but I think he's stayed away since Imus called Liz Edwards a "fat bitch". Yet another reason to vote for Kerry.

part of his strategy. A "dramatic" switch to Bush now has more impact on the Imus crowd.

The "Kerry's my guy" thing was a Rovian ploy.

13. I have to agree with the previous ones
Who gives a damn? I saw his show before and it is stupid and unfunny. Basically typical adoloscent crap that every other radio jock does.

All I know is Howard Stern is on our side, and I bet he has a wider audience than Imus anyway.

14. Imus and his lovely Diedre...
had their book published by a particular publisher (that will go unnamed); a friend of mine is an editor for the aforesaid company, and has attended the various publicity functions that said companies hold for authors of books, namely Imus and his lovely Diedre. She says they are so obnoxious, and demeaning to the company and the other editors-treats them as "peons," so much for this, yet another media whore.

15. Imus appears damaged.
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 12:48 PM by krkaufman
I heard a brief bit of him this morning, wanting to hear Tom Oliphant, and Imus was whining about being "officially undecided" now. He wasn't too lucid in describing why he'd shifted -- so I'd put him in the Bush camp, along with other equally-challenged logicians.

Turned him off pretty quickly. (His show seemed dull, and he's a scary lookin' dude, too. MSNBC needs to replace Imus with an AAR show. :) )

16. He Has ALWAYS Been Supporting Shrub
The "support" and "vote" for JK have always been schtick, something like professional wrestling. If he was just his wingnut idiot self there would be no "tension" on the show full of wingnut idiots, beyond the tension of threatening to "stab" people.

Even if he were actually to vote for JK, which we can never know, his wink-wink damning-with-NO-praise for JK, the negativity FAR outweighs his ONE little vote.
