It all has to be a joke... right?
I woke up today and for some reason immediately thought of Palin and the selection and the entire process, or lack there of. And it just kinda popped into my head.

This has all been a dream.

Right?

I mean... I just don't get it. She is completely unqualified, has more scandals (real scandals) than ANY of his other possible VP choices, and yet there she stands...

2 months, a stolen election, and 1 heartbeat from the presidency.

Is this for real? Is this the USA? Somebody slap me or pinch me or dowse me in water.

I. Don't. Get. It.

I mean, forget about "baby-gate", forget about being mayor of 5,000 people, forget about the gross abuse of powers, forget about only having 18 months as Alaska's Govenor and forget about the AIP.

OH wait... that's all there is! And that is the freaking point!

Obama's campaign has a grueling vetting process. The looked up everything on every one of the potential VP picks, numerous interviews of each, financial records, etc.

And McCain meets Palin for the first time one or two days before "he" selects her.

NO.
Don't buy it.
Didn't happen.
Not a chance.

In the movie Runaway Jury, Gene Hackman delivered a line that will always stick with me.
"Lawsuits are too important to be left up to jurors."

I hear that and I envision KKKarl Rove saying "Elections are too important to be left up to voters."

And now, I hear who ever the fuck is in charge of McCranky's campaign saying "VP selections are too important to be left up to the presidential candidate."

Can somebody please explain to me how they could possible think this could work? I mean... they aren't stupid people, at least not politically; they did steal the last two elections.

So how the hell do think this was a good pick? I just don't get it, and the more I think about it the more it baffles me.

1. I was having the same hopeful thought
but no, it's real. I know it because I've talked to other live people about it, and seen pix on the internets.

I find it very scary. I mean, they COULD win- it's happened before, when we were already on our way down the tubes. And McCain is really NOT a healthy man. So this inept, two-bit novice governor who doesn't believe in evolution could become our fucking PRESIDENT. For REAL.

:scared:

2. The American public should be angry. The GOP just showed the level
of cynicism and contempt that they have for the average voter. They are trying to prove they can run ANYBODY and get away with it, because we're THAT fucking stupid and undeserving of qualified leadership.

4. Yes... the average voters....
Who choose to get their impressions from the ads rather than go and find the truth themselves.

Palin will give a good speech tonight, and tomorrow all the talking heads will flip the script and say what a wonderful job she will do. I can see it now...

6. Yep, they are going to create a "bounce" for her no matter what it takes--
they already know that she's probably good for ratings, and they will build her up and prop her up.
