STILL NO SUBSTANCE. McCain Platform = MORE OF THE SAME (but worse).
It's Wednesday and the convention is nearly over. Still, there is no substance to the GOP Platform. They won't talk about it. Why? Because the platform is the exact same policy that we've had for the last 8 years. And the poor vetting job on Palin is just another example of the cronyism displayed by the disastrous Bush Administration. She was hand-picked, not by the party, but by Big Oil.

We see McCain is indeed his own man, as called out last night at the convention. But it's not the way the GOP would like. McCain shows worse judgement than even George W. Bush. At least Bush was a part of Big Oil and his decisions were driven by that greed. McCain simply wants to be president and has thrown judgement to the wind. All the so-called maverick stances that McCain took when he was scorned by BushCo in the 2000 election were just that: spite. Now his judgement is driven not by what is best for his country, but instead, his decisions are driven by his desire to be President. He is putting his own goals above his country. And it is exemplified by the poor judgement in not vetting a totally unqualified small-town mayor from Alaska.

Sarah Palin is an American Oil Queen, bred and raised by Big Oil for one purpose and one purpose only: drilling in ANWR. She would be an environmental and economic disaster for this country should she gain the VP. If you think Cheney was bad with his secret energy meetings, then you've seen just the tip of the melting iceberg of what Palin will do. She will not need to be a heart-beat away from the office of the President. She will have all the power she needs to take America to the full realization of the disaster that awaits us. I can't believe there would be someone worse than Cheney, but she is it, simply for the fact that she has all of his oil initiatives with none of his foreign policy experience. With someone who makes no qualms about shooting wildlife from a helicopter, she would think nothing of picking off the Constitutional rights of the U.S. Citizens or taking pot-shots at both our enemies and our allies.
