CNN Jeffrey Toobin: "The Republican Party: Are they a party of old white guys?
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 10:55 PM by BigBearJohn
Are my ears deceiving me?

"That is a problem that the Republican party has. It is not a diverse party. It is not a party where woman have had great success... the country is changing. I'm not sure the Republican party is."

I used to hate this guy. I might change my opinion.

3. He's just noticing this. Jeez, he must not
have been paying attention. As far back as I can remember the repukes have been the party of well to do white people, and more recently, not so well to do white people who are usually religiously insane.

4. Wow, why is he stating something that EVERYONE knows like it's news?
It's literally the LARGE ELEPHANT in the room (pun intended) that the Republican party does not equal progress, diversity or equality. They are of the old, white male landowner mindset, which was one of the flaws the Founding Fathers had.

6. Look at the delegates at the RNC this year
Mostly old white guys, accompanied by their neo-Nazi sons and all their Stepford wives.

Republicans are referred to as "conservatives" for a reason. They're not progressive! They are, in fact, the polar OPPOSITE! But hell, if we need to reaffirm an old truth so that a talking head has something to say, then by all means. lol

I sure hope next they tell us that "this Obama character sure seems like he wants to change things. And he's BLACK!" lol
