"Palin’s family in a vicious war that is now exposing her darkest secrets"
Looks like the National Enquirer, fresh off its John Edwards triumph, has got the goods on Sarah Palin:

The ultra-conservative governor’s announcement about her daughter’s pregnancy came hours after The ENQUIRER informed her representatives and family members of Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol’s child, that we were aware of the pregnancy and were going to break the news.

In a preemptive strike Palin released the news, creating political shockwaves.

The ENQUIRER has also learned that Palin’s family is embroiled in a vicious war that is now exposing her darkest secrets, threatening to destroy her political career.

Palin’s ongoing war with her ex brother-in-law Mike Wooten, a state trooper, has caused multiple sources to come forward with shocking allegations about the governor.

Details of those allegations, the family feud, and Palin’s attempt to cover up her teen daughter’s pregnancy are in the new issue of The ENQUIRER.

2. Republicans said
that the Enquirer story was fair game when it came to John Edwards. So it's definitely fair game now.

When money talks information walks. I can hardly wait to see the pictures o the cover. I don't think Mrs. Sarah will look so cute when they get done marinating her.

6. OMG this part!

"Palin planned for the wedding to take place right after the Republican National Convention and then she was going to announce the pregnancy.

But Bristol, 17, refused to go along with the plan and that sparked a mother-daughter showdown over the failed coverup."

16. Of course not, but do you doubt this story? With everything else that's documented?
If the Enquirer were the only source for the literally dozens of embarrassing stories about Palin that have surfaced over the past four days, I'd ignore it. But as it stands...

30. They have no political agenda other than selling papers.
Unlike a lot of partisan outlets, they dish the dirt on anyone and everyone. Over the past decade or so, they've been more right than wrong on big stories like this.

18. Check out this page: "McCain's Cheatin' heart"
snip:

" John McCain's been ducking reported infidelity claims, there's no denying his cheatin' ways with first wife, Carol - the woman who waited for him when he was a P.O.W.

McCain met Carol, a former swimsuit model, when he was attending Annapolis during the 1950s. At the time, she was married to another cadet with whom she had two children.

After being freed by the Viet Cong, McCain discovered Carol had been disfigured in a serious car accident.

"When he saw Carol was not the beauty he left behind, he started running around on her," Ted Sampley, a Special Forces Viet Nam vet and McCain pal said."

there should be those who will be more than willing to expose her skeletons. This will probably only get worse.

23. Why the Gov. Failin story can't go away
The MSM is still smarting from the last time the Enquirer beat them to the punch - if they let the Enquirer beat them again they can say good bye to their ratings - and along with that their advertising dollars. To top it off the MSM is still competitive enough not to want to be beaten to the punch buy "that rag."
