What should Dean's response to the GOP attack ad be?
I hope this disspells any idea that Rove and Bush actually want Dean to win the nomination.

So how should Dean respond?

I think that he should make an immediate response and begin running against Bush and ignore the other Democrats.

1. He shouldn't waste his money on responding.
The ad is ridiculous. It will insult as many (if not more) people as it will change minds.

2. Are you serious?
Of course he should respond. He has the money. He should use it.

This is what EVERYONE says was the problem with Gore and Dukakis...that they didn't respond.

Of course he should respond and use it to his advantage.

3. He has money.. but only about 1/3 as much as Bush
And Bush doesn't have a primary process to go through. Dean needs to pick his spots, and I don't think this lame ad is worthy of one. The best you'll accomplish is giving the ad credence by looking like you're worried about this garbage.

4. It's an ad so ridiculous...
...that it will meet its response from the ground up. That ad is an insult to the intelligence of anyone that holds down a job. A bunch of "born to wealth" jackasses creating a name-calling childish ad run. That's cool, don't whine when we call Bush Hitler, you pansy corpofascist warmongering pricks who should take your fraudulent, loser Bush and go back to Conneticut.

6. ALWAYS respond
You never leave an attack unanswered.

Dukakis thought responding to the Willie Horton ad was beneath him and didn't respond for days. That mistake ended Dukakis's campaign.

14. He shouldn't respond

Because then the ads might get pulled and support for Dean will go away (I think that's the implication of the paranoid theory de jour).

5. Dean's response should be
The GOP attack ads are a pre-emptive strike against Democratic candidates and indicate that the White House is worried and showing signs of desperation

8. They are so sure Dean has a lock on the nomination
that they are starting to tear him down (while still having Novak and the other right wing soldiers prop him up).

9. and this is how
Name the corporate fascists behind this and following attacks. Read their names, show their faces, with a suitable background. Expose them, ridicule them in public, dig up the dirt and trash and smear them (keep your facts straight). Put some fear in the rich corporate fascists funding the Busheviks by making it personal, give the enemy a face and you will find they are paper tigers, nothing but the fearfull whiners the angry, stupid whining white men are...

12. Dean should say, Bush claimed to be "a uniter, not a divider"
Dean should say, Bush claimed to be "a uniter, not a divider" but instead he's led the most divisive administration in recent American history.

Now his coporate cronies are stooping to demagogary, attacking patriotic Americans as "freaks(s)."

Help me to unite the country.

13. He should drive up in a volvo, drinking latte
stop beside a farmer auctioning off his equipment and the farmer should tell Dean that Bush needs to go back to Crawford, Texas where he belongs. :D
