Republican convention highlights so far

(1) An elderly white woman (a bigwig in the Ohio Republican Party) speaks about McCain and calls Sarah Palin "Sarah Pawlenty"
(2) Norm Coleman, Senator of Minnesota, tells us all that even though he's Jewish he still admires St. Paul (as in St. Paul, MN) and tells us the city is known as Pigs Eye.
(3) A Congresswoman from MN tells us that people in Minnesota are happy people. "Even the liberal are happy in Minnesota."
(4) A congressman who I never heard out trots out his Bangledeshi adopted daughter who Cindy McCain brought to the U.S. and reads his daughter's remarks while she stands there smiling.

As you can see, it's very exciting, but I don't know how much more I can stomach.

3. I turned on CSPAN and thought I had tuned in a funeral

quiet - lots of prayers.
Then there was an interview with some bozo from Pennsylvania. He was so excited about Palin I thought he'd fall asleep on his feet.

5. SC Governor Mark Sanford was being interviewed and answered

a question about the vetting of Palin. He said she was vetted in Alaska, and now she'll be vetted in the United States. Does he think Palin has already seceded Alaska from the U.S.A.?
