I can't stress this enough. This point HAS TO BE MADE re: Palin/Alaska Independence Party

The netroots and other well meaning people need to DEMAND that the media give a full airing and analysis of whether or not Palin truly believes Alaska should secede from the United States.

If Michelle Obama patriotism was severely questioned and her image was tarnished because her comments about being proud of her country, then Palin's membership in a political party that supports seceding from the Union should disqualify her from being VP. One is a running for VP and the other is hoping to be first lady. One made a comment that was misinterpreted the other JOINED A PARTY THAT SOUGHT to secede from the US.

BANG THE SHIT OUT OF THIS PLEASE!

I agree with you. If she denies that she supports their platform, she needs to explain why she was a member.
