All the DU laughter at Palin is understandable. But don't focus on that.
THe fact of the matter is that McCain still has powerful allies in the military industrial complex and the corporate news media--not to mention in the ideology driven nutbag billionaires who will say and do anything to keep a Republican in office.

I believe everyone needs to be a sharp as Obama and focus on how to conduct oneself in a classy way and continue to give people REASON to vote VOTE FOR Barack Obama and his running mate Joe BIden.

I had high hopes the Sarah Palin pick would blow up in McCain's face when I heard of it Saturday because it seemed so out of left field. It seems we're being proved right.

However, they can easily turn a negative around in a few news cycles. We've got only a few weeks left. Let's not let down our guard. Let's continue to encourage to work like Obama is 10 points back.

WE MUST WIN PEOPLE. I AM DYING A THOUSAND DEATHS the last 2 presidential elections. I cannot take another close defeat at the hands of such unqualified people on the GOP side.

5. hate to tell you, but the "sex of a teenager" is liable to get more play
because the whole "lobbyists and politicans in bed together" line is so driven into people that they actually expect it.

I hope McCain can at least be seen as ineffectual in rallying the various frayed wings of his party together even as Obama masterfully gets people rallying behind him.

It's about leadership. And I can see...hopefully others can....the one exhibiting leadership in getting others to listen...and in his choices.

7. you may be right. but don't forget to go in November yourselves and get 5 others to go with you
I want a tidal wave of change to wash over Washington come November. I want no doubt left in people's minds that this isn't even close and the United States citizens REJECTED with all they could the policies and legacies of Bush by overwhelmingly voting for Barack Obama.

That is all I'm saying. Believe me. I am just as happy as the next one that so far this has blown up spectacularly for them.

To me it was desperation after they saw how perfectly the DEM convention was coming together. THey had no answer so they tried ANYTHING to steal the headlines back.

Well, it worked. But not in the way they were hoping.

11. I agree, except for one thing.
"I cannot take another close defeat..." should read "I cannot take another close victory which allowed them to steal the presidency through election fraud..."

But I know what you meant. :) :hi:

12. oh yes. that makes it all the more painful. They STOLE from us
and we largely sit here not acknowledging it and doing something about it.

My hope is the DEMS keep their powder dry until the election is over and they find they have an unassailable majority in the senate, Lieberman is castrated of any power, Obama is the president, and we can go after Rove, Bush, CHeney, and the lot.

Impeachment is too good. WHat is better that didn't occur with Nixon is to let them see their administration wane...then get nothing but Democrats in so there are no pardons. THey people raped us. They need prison. BAD.
