When George Ryan came under indictment.

The difference, thouogh, is I suspect the national GOP will not be able to hold themselves together as well as the ILGOP did after the Ryan mess.

Remember, DUers, the ILGOP post-Ryan went with Alan Keyes against Barack Obama in 2004.

The GOP could well end up being the Whigs of the 21st century.

1. I was thinking the same thing earlier today
how Obama won that election due to the repub disaray. I seriously wonder if mcsame/palin will even make it through the next couple weeks.

2. Yes, that is very interesting...
how Obama enjoyed a somewhat easy race in 2004 due to Republican disarray, and now it seems like he's getting to run in a _national_ environment of Republican disarray.

What is it about Obama that inspires all his opponents to shit their respective beds?
