Which candidate will get the Bill Clinton endorsement ?
And how much will it be worth? After watching General Clark on Hardball defending Bill Clinton and putting much of the blame on the Republicans and the media for the impeachment fiasco, the General may have scored some points with the ex-President. If Bill Clinton endorses Clark, will it have as much weight as Al Gore's endorsement of Howard Dean?

1. Clinton endorsement will go to...
whoever wins the nomination.

That's what he said and that is what he will do.

2. Clark is right about the media and the Repubs. Clinton won't endorse any
candidate for a long time, perhaps not until the convention.

3. None
...if he endorses anyone, he becomes irrelevant to the remainder. Too early yet for such a politician to become impolitic.

He will support the nominee only to the point where they have burned too many bridges with him.

11. Don't be so sure
I remember how all Kerry's supporters here were absolutely positive that Gore was going to endorse Kerry. We all know how that went. Have you seen my signature line?

5. IMO, a Clinton endorsement..
has more weight than a Gore endorsement, but I'm certain that he will only endorse the nominee.

Clark is
his own man. Doesn't need another man to prop him up.

But Clinton is cool. I'd rather have Hillary's endorsement!

8. Clinton will endorse the *nominee*; he has already said that.
Bill will not endorse a candidate in the primary, period.

9. Maybe you missed it
Clinton will endorse the nominee. If you trust his word then you have his answer. Personally, I believe him when he says he's waiting.

10. Whoever wins the nomination.
That's why he's a party leader and Gore is not. Clinton will wait until a clear winner emerges. It may end up all right for Gore, but if he backed someone prematurely, who doesn't win the nomination, his status is even worse than before. Clinton plays to win. He'll back the nominee.
