After watching General Clark on Hardball defending Bill Clinton and putting much of the blame on the Republicans and the media for the impeachment fiasco, the General may have scored some points with the ex-President. If Bill Clinton endorses Clark, will it have as much weight as Al Gore's endorsement of Howard Dean?

That's why he's a party leader and Gore is not. Clinton will wait until a clear winner emerges. It may end up all right for Gore, but if he backed someone prematurely, who doesn't win the nomination, his status is even worse than before. Clinton plays to win. He'll back the nominee.
