Palin is irrelevant. That’s what needs to be brought home.

It is not only Bush who has fallen into disgrace; it’s the entire conservative philosophy of governance. Everyone in the country by now knows the laundry list of failures: Iraq, the economy, Katrina, PTSD and homeless vets, high fuel prices, ten trillion in debt, the falling dollar, the uninsured, Bin Laden free, low world opinion of America, just to name a few. The few people left unfamiliar with what has been happening are beyond hope at this point.

But, what we need to stress to people who think that whoever McCain picks as VP has any relevance to their lives, is that even if Palin a woman, the policies of a republican administration will remain very close to Bush’s, if not the same.

The policies that effect people’s day-to-day lives, the policies that drive fuel prices higher, like Iraq and deregulation of futures trading; the policies that create a greater divide between rich and poor and prevent meaningful healthcare reform, will not change under McCain, no matter who his pick for VP. With ¾ of the people in the country thinking we’re on the wrong track, how can anyone honestly want to continue on this same track?

and ownership of the voting machines.

History has shown us that.

They own everything. DO you really think they are going to allow someone else, who may not act in their interest, to have any control?

2. Good points. McCain is the top of the ticket. Whatever agenda may be in play with a VP .
I think we would do well to address their records individually, not as a unified ticket. I think it's been cobbled together. She sure seems a last minute add-on, untested nationally, and McCain has a shaky track record we can surely rebut.

4. No, it's just one more reason not to vote for him.
But it's way down on that long list.
