McCain will deliver convention speech from Gulf Coast
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/13013.html

"McCain was scheduled to deliver his acceptance speech Thursday but now may do so from the devastation zone if the storm hits the U.S. coast with the ferocity feared by forecasters."

Is he actively trying to lose this election?

35. you think Obama campaign might just....
pay McCain back for stealing the day after coverage of his speech with Palin, by.......

running a commercial about Katrina with that awful picture of him eating cake with Chimpy on the tarmac the day after McCain's speech.

(ouch!)

you know, Obama's been picking up the attacks and they've been pretty strong.

4. If Gustav continues to track a bit further West
we'll see Grampa in the more rural region of the coastal border between Louisiana and Texas.

I'm hoping he gets down there and it fizzles to a Tropical Wave before coming on shore.

This is insane. If this is true, I hope the democrats rip McLame apart for this blatant act of politicizing a tragedy.

8. He heads INTO a hurricane to pander? Ok, let's review his state of mind for the last week.
He's gotten so bored and irritated with is campaign that he made a radical choice for VP so he could have a cute piece of ass to follow around for 2 months. Now he's going to play some kind of bizarre hero by becoming a storm chaser with his new hottie?

McGustav has LOST IT. "She makes me feel young!"

16. Sigh.
I hate this man. I really REALLY REALLY FUCKING DO! First of all, John S McCain was stuffing cake in his mouth on an airport tarmac with GEORGE BUSH the day Katrina hit NOLA. Now he wants to go to hurricane zone and use it is as a funky ass prop for his political campaign? What the HELL good would it be doing for him to give a damn POLITICAL speech from a zone where people have lost everything? Didn't he vote against EVERY SINGLE BILL offering support for the victims of Katrina? He is SCUM and his own party should take his dumb ass out of the race. He doesn't deserve to even RUN for president let alone BE president.

32. This election will be a good litmus test to find out how divided our country is.
Those Republicans voting for gays, God, and guns will be exposed for what they are. No way can they argue that it's a sane pick on the merits.

28. So will McCain's acceptance speech take on a somber mood.
Or will he have "Jesse and the Rascals" playing in the background while people are clearing the debris from their homes. Wow what a classy guy. Maybe on his way out we might get to see the rare moment of compassion and pity of McCain throwing a quarter at some one holing all their belongings out on the street.
