Obama: 'I feel confident about my choice', doesn't take bait on Palin.
Obama: 'I feel confident about my choice'

Asked at a press conference Saturday night to respond to McCain's argument that Palin has more executive experience than the Democratic ticket, Obama and Biden laughed.

"I think you guys can take a look at Gov. Palin's record, Joe Biden's record and make your judgement in terms of who you think has what it takes to be an outstanding vice president," Obama said after a rally in Dublin, Ohio. "I feel confident about my choice."

This was about as far as Obama would go, for a second day in a row, to offer cast a critical eye on Palin.

6. I think Barack knows the Palin deal will work itself out without any help from him.
Notice how he simply invites the media to take a look at the records and make their own judgements. They will.

4. Smart man. Very, very smart.
What the McCain camp would just love is to be able to cast Palin as a victim of some "mean" men.

8. Laughing is the perfect response.
It comes off as "What was that crazy geezer/dirty-old-man thinking?" without actually saying it.

9. Obama is doing exactly what FrenchieCat from DU said to do. Ignore the twit and focus on McCain.
He's our problem and we have to keep him in mind. She's a smoke screen to keep lips wagging but she provides nothing. Obama did good and I'm glad he went this direction. He looks above the Repubs and focuses on the man in charge who was using Palin to take his hits.

11. For all the advantages they were born with bush and mccain lack one thing Obama has
Unshakeable self confidence. These assholes are never going to get under his skin. He has a firm and well developed sense of who he is.

14. Agreed.
The other thing that Obama has that those jokers will never have is class. I'm very proud to be a supporter of Barack Obama.

18. His taking the high road on this is smart politics.
That some on DU don't has no bearing on the election. It can be distasteful, but it has no bearing on the election no matter how many eyeballs read some of "those" posts.

23. Wish it were otherwise, of course.
At most, it's ticking off some freepers, which of course isn't a bad thing.

15. Obama will simply talk about how experienced Biden is
And let everyone else infer the flip side...how inexperienced Palin is.

And he'll damn her with faint praise. On the 60 Minutes preview he said "She's a wonderful mom and up and coming public servant"
